Aerogel Felt Coated Self-Adhesive Fiberglass Fabric
The system consists of a central strip of ultra-thin silica aerogel felt (6 mm thick), entirely covered by a fibreglass fabric that prevents dust dispersion and preserves its mechanical integrity. On the underside, the aerogel felt coated fiberglass fabric features a high-strength industrial adhesive.
This configuration creates two adhesive flaps on either side, allowing for instant, airtight and permanent mechanical bonding to a variety of surfaces.
Aerogel Felt Coated Self-Adhesive Fiberglass Fabric Characteristics
- Material: medium-density silica aerogel felt protected by adhesive fibreglass fabric
- Thermal resistance: operating temperatures up to +400°C
- Low thermal conductivity
- Self-adhesive side flaps
- High mechanical strength
- Breathable surface
- Non-flammable
- Made in Europe
Aerogel Felt Coated Self-Adhesive Fiberglass Fabric Applications
Thanks to the flexibility of the roll format and the integrated fastening system, the aerogel felt coated self-adhesive fiberglass fabric is ideal for use where working space is extremely limited or geometrically complex:
- Elimination of thermal bridges: rapid insulation of critical structural joints, recesses, window reveals, roller shutter boxes and structural columns;
- Sealing and insulation of industrial joints: thermal treatment and sealing of pipe joints, flanged connections and discontinuities in technical systems;
- Maintenance of damaged insulation: rapid repair work on existing felt or panel insulation showing detachment or cracking;
- Marine and automotive: anti-vibration insulation and thin thermal barriers for cavities, frames and ducts inside vehicles or boats.
Why Choose Aerogel Felt Coated Self-Adhesive Fiberglass Fabric
Choosing the aerogel felt coated self-adhesive fiberglass fabric means relying on a material that guarantees:
- Quick installation: thanks to the adhesive side strips, there is no need to apply adhesives or use invasive mechanical fixings;
- Zero dispersion and maximum cleanliness: the protective fabric coating seals the aerogel fibres, preventing dust from becoming airborne during cutting and installation.
