Professional Coating For High-Temperature Technical Fabrics

Bespoke surface finishing to impart chemical, mechanical and thermal resistance to high-quality fibres.

The Importance Of Corporate Branding

Coating is not merely a surface finish, but a process of surface engineering.
Through the controlled application of polymers, we transform a standard fabric into a protective barrier capable of withstanding corrosive agents, extreme abrasion and extreme temperatures, whilst enhancing the fabric’s stability.

Available Treatments And Polymers

We use blade and roller coating systems to achieve uniform coatings (ranging from a few microns to millimetres):

  • Silicone: ideal for flexibility, water repellency and electrical insulation;
  • Vermiculite/Silicates: for unrivalled fire resistance (protection against molten metals and direct flames);
  • Polyurethane (PU)/Acrylic resins: to increase mechanical strength and prevent fraying during cutting;
  • Neoprene: to ensure gas tightness and resistance to industrial oils.

Technical Specifications And Coating Capacity

  • Working heights up to 1,500/1,600 mm;
  • Compatible substrates: fibreglass, silica, carbon, aramid;
  • Versatility: option of single-sided, double-sided or differential coating.

FAQs On Professional Coating

Can You Produce Custom Colours?

Yes, for minimum production runs, we can pigment resins and silicones according to the RAL colour chart to meet branding or safety coding requirements.

Does The Coated Fabric Remain Flexible Enough To Be Sewn?

Yes, we adjust the density of the polymer (such as silicone or polyurethane) to ensure the fabric retains the flexibility required for subsequent manufacturing of products, such as insulating cushions or textile joints.

Does The Coating Withstand Direct Contact With Oils Or Hydrocarbons?

It depends on the polymer chosen. For environments where hydrocarbons are present, we recommend coatings made of Neoprene or specific silicones that act as an impermeable chemical barrier.
